Just a pic I tossed together of a robot I jotted down in my sketch book one day. All and all Im pretty happy how he came out. Hes about 4160 Poly, the only thing about him that bugs me is the texture of his arm piping. Just doesnt look right. But as you will see Im not very good at texturing yet. I got lazy and havent textured the gun yet, but I will get to it.
I think the shading on the piping looks pretty good - it's perhaps his other metal components that need a little more shading to make the whole model fit well. Great design though .
Thanks much.
Actually the Happy Noodle Armor inspired his design. I was originally going to make a Quake 3 model of the Noodle Armor but decided I wanted an original character. The slender look of the robot is what I wanted to capture, I think it came out well.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
