Artist's Comments

Just a pic I tossed together of a robot I jotted down in my sketch book one day.
All and all I’m pretty happy how he came out. He’s about 4160 Poly, the only thing about him that bugs me is the texture of his arm piping. Just doesn’t look right. But as you will see I’m not very good at texturing yet. I got lazy and haven’t textured the gun yet, but I will get to it.

I think the shading on the piping looks pretty good - it's perhaps his other metal components that need a little more shading to make the whole model fit well. Great design though :).

I like the textures very much!

Thanks much, just wish I was a better texture artist. I think my models would look more impresive if I could render better textures.

looks a bit like "Happy Noodle Armor"... :)

I like sleek, small, agile looking robots. Good design!

How do you get holy water? Boil the hell out of it?

Thanks much.
Actually the Happy Noodle Armor inspired his design. I was originally going to make a Quake 3 model of the Noodle Armor but decided I wanted an original character. The slender look of the robot is what I wanted to capture, I think it came out well.
